Elastic Search / Full Text Search how to?

We are planning to extend full text search to users in our existing application.

I have seen the links in PDN, which talk about, what to do, to enable search, but I am looking for any implementation level reference. Which talks about what rules to be configured to make this available in application, like sections, activities, controls, report definitions.

Also we would like to pass more custom filters entered by users, which will help refine search.

I would be glad, if you could point me to any such links, which would help me achieve this.

In the PEGA platform product, please refer to the implementation of the OOTB Data page "D_pyWorkSearch". It refers to the activity "pxRetrieveSearchData" which in turn will call the report definition. 

Pre-requisites:

  • If customization of work type search is required, then "Custom Search Properties" rule need to be created at the respective implementation class.
  • Report definition for the properties defined in the Custom Search Properties rule.

Hi Sandeep,

I see that datapage D_pyWorkSearch is being called from section @baseclass  pyWorkSearch RS: Pega-EndUserUI:07-10-11,

I tried to put this section in my application and search with all parameters, its not fetching any results.

Also I could not find Custom Search Properties rule category. From one of the thread, I should be able to find it in SysAdmin category, which I could not. Do we have such rule category?

Also I could not find Custom Search Properties rule category. From one of the thread, I should be able to find it in SysAdmin category, which I could not. Do we have such rule category? 

In Pega 7.2, in records explorer, look at SysAdmin - > Custom Search Properties

Have you got the implementation details for Elastic search ? I'm also working on 7.1.8 and planning to implement Elastic search with custom filters
