Deploying Pega on WAS 7 and 8, pointing to the same PegaRULES schema
We have our Pega 7.1.8(with CPM 7.1.3) application running on WAS 7 on 2 application servers. We wanted to add two more servers to production environment to share the load, but unfortunately WAS 7 is no longer offered for new licenses from out data center, so they suggested us to go for WAS 8.
Does this configuration work ? Pega application on two WAS 7 servers and two WAS 8 servers connecting to the same PegaRULES schema that was originally deployed during WAS 7 configuration ?
Full stack: WAS 7 and WAS 8 + MS SQL server 2014 + Pega 7.1.8 + CPM 7.1.3

Hi Ravi,
You can refer to https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find for the supported Application Servers. With the Configuration you have mentioned, We don't think it should be an issue since these both are supported versions. However, you can test it in the lower environments always.

yeah, we already reviewed all the support guides available and the question is really about running this hybrid setup, if anyone has ever tried it. We will run tests starting next week and post updates here.
