Deleting rules in higher environments that's not associated with ruleset
What's the best way to delete the rules in higher environments that's not associated with ruleset. We use automated deployment process with application name as the key for exporting rules. When we promoted last time, it picked the branch application as well and deployed in other environments. Though it's not causing any issue, we wish the Branch application to exist only in Development environments.
Manually deleting may be an option. Since we use automated deployment, Devops compliance team not keen on doing manual changes in higher environments. Are there any alternate solution to this? Thanks,

If you are able to identify those rules in the lower environment, then withdrawing them and then moving them in higher environment would be an option.

Thank you for the response. My question is about rules that's not associated with version like Applications, AGs etc. Once a rule is moved to higher environment, there's no way to delete them through import. Is deleting them manually the only option or is there any utility to delete them. Like importing records into datatables/datatypes provides an option if we wish to Add/AddorUpdate/Delete records. Do we have any such things for importing products and delete what's in the product or delete the delta.

If the number of rules is limited and you know the exact rules, then get the pzInskey of those rules and run a delete script on the respective tables.
To get the pzinskey of the rule, there are 2 options:
1. Click on the short description field of the rule, after that hit F8. A pop up will come up with the key of the rule.
2. Click on the rule data, the rule xml will be displayed and then search for pzInskey.
I will not advise this if you have already deployed your code to Production environment.
