You can purge the data using Obj- operations i.e. either delete or delete by handle if u have the handle .  You can configure an advanced agent which will run at regular interval , check for data in the data table based on some conditions , say if data inserted is x days old or some other conditions based on ur requirement , and if the condition meets it will delete that data instance for the data table .Hope this answers your question .

You might want to take a look at the SystemCleaner agent to see how purging happens for some of the OOTB tables.

Can we know, why do you want to purge the records of DataTable at first .

We have this purge/archive wizard, where it will enable you to use an agent to automatically delete old work items , of a specific work type .

You can also write an activity with the Connect-Sql rule to delete the records of a specific data table , and run this activity via an agent , at specified intervals .

We load data into a staging table using a Rest Service. At the end of the day , we get records from the staging table and do some business computations. 

After this we need to purge the data from the staging table. I am not sure if using Connect-SQL / RDB Delete is the right way (best practice) . Is there a way to accomplish this using Obj- methods?
