Declare Index Source Class automatically becomes to @baseclass
Hi ,
I saved a declare index rule to a higher version and added a when condition, and each time i
open this rule the source class is automatically showing @baseclass? Any suggestions/view on this would be helpful

Hi Priyanka,
I assume that you have a declare index rule in ABC : XX-XX-01 and you saved it into ABC : XX-XX-02 with applies to class as 'XYZ' and then when you try to reference this rule it opens it from baseclass instead of 'XYZ'. If so, can you search for this rule and see if the rule from ABC: XX-XX-02 version with applies to class 'XYZ' is listing. If you could see that then i guess there might be something wrong with the ruleset version configuration.
Please provide some more inputs so that we get more insight into this.

Hi ,
Its not applies to class it is "Source Page Context class" that is being automatically changed to @baseclass inside the declare index rule.
Just to clarify
Declare Index Rule (xxx) in ABC : XX-XX-01 With applies to Class XYZ
Copied the same declare index rule (xxx) into ABC : XX-XX-02 with the same applies to class XYZ
And added a Declare Indexing When Condition (this is the only change done in the higher version) and save the rule and check in .
Again you open this new rule , the source page context class - automatically changed to @ baseclass
