[Datetime Formatting] Converting to Pega datetime format
Hi ,
I am trying to convert below datetime to Pega datetime format . Is there any OOTB functions which does ?
Input : 2002-04-08T21:00:00+06:00
Note : i did try @(Pega-RULES:DateTime).FormatDateTime(...) , but dint work .
Version : 7.17

yes , there is an exception with OOTB formatdatetime RUF , it does not like "yyyy-MM-dd........" format , anyways in 7.2 there is another/new OOTB function
"FormatDateString" which is usefull , we have implemeneted the same by creating a new function rule in 7.17 .

Would suggest you to create a control as below and use this for the input datetime field;

String sdt = dtu.formatDateTime(st, "dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss a z","Europe/London","en_GB");

Thanks Basavaraj , i will try that , but how different is this code from the OOTB formatdatetime function ??
Just to add i am not trying to display this in UI , i am using this for date compare (in when rule/activity)

Hi Aditya,
Do you see any issues when you trace the activity during execution(like Invalid datetime format/Invalid datetime) when you use OOTB function in activity? It basically does the same thing. You can try using similar code in your activity java step and let me know if it works.
