Date Difference Calculation
Hi,
I want to calculate the date difference in days between a specific date and current date. I need this date difference (Only Date , need not consider time) to do a validation and then decide the flow of the case. Is there a inbuilt validation rule available for this in PEGA?

I got it working :) I was adding the expression in a wrong place i.e. in the default value of a control. I modified the data element as a calculated field and added this expression as the formula and it worked. Thank you all for the help!! :)

You can go through the existing functions in DateTime Library from expression builder and choose the one based on your requirement.

Hi,
If I understand correctly you might be using Date datatype & not DateTime. So, you need to convert the Date property to DateTime property in an activity or data transform.
Then as suggested earlier you can use the DateTimeDifference function to calculate the difference.

Thank you all for the suggestion. I tried the DateTimeDifference function and it doesn't seem to work. I tried with both parameterized and hard coded values.
@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).DateTimeDifference(.OldDatetime, .CurrentDateTime, "D")
@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).DateTimeDifference("20171120T201834.985 GMT", "20171124T201834.985 GMT", "D")
Both the values doesn't seem to work. Any help?
