Database size for extra case type
Hi All,
We are using Pega 7.1.9. As part of new requirement, we are adding a new case type which will have a dedicated database table to store workobjects. The process is not so complex and it will have 5-6 screens and capturing lightweight data. In a year, there might be 10K cases will be created. I assume the clipboard size of pyworkpage wont be more than 1MB.
Please could you let us know, if we need to increase the database size and any other hardware sizes. And if yes, how much should it be. Please could you provide an absolute answers for sizing if possible.

From the above, approximately you need 10 GB space for year.
1 WO ~ 1 MB
10,000 WO / year ~ 10 * 1000 WO ~ 10 * 1000 MB ~ 10 * 1024 MB ~ 10 GB / year
If you are purging the WOs (with resolved state) on timely manner, then required size may comedown.
Can you also please check with your application architect and DB admin to conclude the things.
