Creating a Pega Web Mashup

I was following the Advance CSSA course - Creating a Pega Web Mashup in pdn and tried to do the exercise. It asks to connect to file zilla to write to an html. I tried connecting by giving the port as the same URL of the exercise, it's not connecting. Please help me

The port that is being used to connect to the exercise is solely to use to connect to the study environment. For example on the VM that I am using I am using: http:// Proprietary information hidden:9080/

In order to connect with an FTP client simply use the ip address of the VM and leave the port off so that the client will default to the standard ftp port (21). 

For example in my case I would use the ip address of  Proprietary information hidden without a port number.
