Creating a HashMap data structure in a data transform by looping though a Page list
Hello All, Lets say:
- we have a Class <<Car>>, with 2 properties: RegNo and Colour.
- we have a Page List of Car objects.
In a Data Transform, i want to:
- create a Hashmap data structure in Pega, with Key: {RegNo} Value: {Colour}
- keep the hashmap in a data page so it is cached for subsequent usage.
Any help please? Thanks.

Hi @RidwaanB16760387: Can you please help to understand why you need the java type variables in the data transform? Can you check if the property type page list helps you to resolve the problem. In data transform you need to use append and map to function to append new pages into the pagelist. In the following steps within the append and map to block, set the properties RegNo, Colour to its values.

If there is a real need to work with HashMap, please check reference of properties pyEdgesHashMap and pyNodesHashMap.
