create work from button

I am trying to call the "create work" action for the click event of a button but the assignments are opening in a pop up.How can we open them in a new tab?

Where are you keeping the button in the screen is it on work area, if so it tries to open in separate window. Keep it in either header/left panel so that it load in workarea automatically.

Which version are you on ? Can you share screenshot about where you put your button and how you configured it ?
