Connecting to ADM server externally

Hi,

Is it possible to connect to an external ADM server(outside of my PRPC cluster) in PM 8.4? I was going through the Adaptive Model Schema Migration landing page where I have an option to convert ADM models prior to Pega 7.1 with new schema changes by connecting to the host. I wanted to check if this is still possible in PM 8.4.

Starting with Pega 7.3, the ADM service does not support adding external nodes to the cluster. However, you can still use the data from your existing external ADM nodes. For more information, see the Decision Strategy Manager Upgrade Guide.

What is the reason for removing the external ADM service support?
