connect with external DB oracle
Hi, how to connect with external DB oracle from pega7 personaledition, plz let me know the steps, if any jars or configurations required plz let me know where to keep

Hi Subrahamanyam,
For connecting to non-Postgres databases you need to use a tool such as Squirrel.You also need to obtain the right JDBC jar and be able to specify the JDBC url and Driver class name
The pgAdmin3.exe client from your Personal Edition works very well for connecting to another PostgresDB such as the one within a PVS.

Hi Subrahmanyam,
Can you please be clear when you say you have to connect to external DB? Is it during the installation or when you are trying to connect to a table in DB via designer studio?

Thanq for ur responce kalyan, yes kalyan i want to get data form table in oracle DB from designer studio, what the configuration required, plz let me know the steps, and plz confirm is it possible to connect with oracle10g from personaledition7?
