Configuring Pega Survey as Tree Structure

We have requirements to build questionnaires where questions need to be designed as a tree. For example - question 1, question 1.1, question 1.1.1; question 1.1 will be indented under question 1 and question 1.1.1 will be indented under question 1.1. Is that possible using Pega Survey or do we need to build something custom?

There is a Tree navigation type that can be selected when using the Survey smart shape. This might be a good starting point.
