Conditional configuration of OnClick events - Button

We have a requirement to open a window (third party application) on Finish Assignment if there are no page level messages

1) tried to use a validate rule to trigger the validations and use Show-HTML in which onload try to run the javascript top open a window. - Which is not working.

2) Tried to create action events on a button, First do a "Finish Assignment" and then "run script" if there are no error messages on the page but unfortunately pega has restricted the when conditions for buttons / links and some other UI controls (See Attachments)

Is there any other way to achieve this requirement

Hi Naveen,

Thanks for writing to the PSC.

As you are configuring finish assignment as action, to same event add one more action i.e. open URL and provide the configuration as per your needs. Please check the image attached:

You can not achieve the directly anyways PEGA has enabled when conditions for buttons in version 7.2.2.

Work around we did is use the Text Area UI Control and add the required when conditons, but created a new UI format (CSS) to show it as a button.
