Compatibility check of PEGA 8.6.x version on latest Tomcat version (10.1.6)
Following is the current version of Tomcat and Java installed for PEGA 8.6.5 instance deployed in the client cloud (AWS) environment: Tomcat -- 8.5.54 Java -- 1.8.0_251 There is an initiative of doing an upgrade to the latest version of Apache Tomcat - 10.1.6 and Oracle Java. Considering the same, raising this request to run a compatibility check for the PEGA 8.6.5 instance as the PEGA 8.x Platform Support Guide only provide references to Tomcat 8 and 9 versions. Please assist in providing the updates.

AWS ec2 are coming up but tomcat does not start.

Error seen in catalina.out

please use Pega recommended versions of Tomcat.
However from the error shared, issue seems to be with tomcat setup ( not related to Pega). Please verify the JVM arguments configured and verify if they are compatible with tomcat and java version used.

Please use recommended tomcat versions as per documentation ( i.e Tomcat 8 and Tomcat 9).

Hi Suhas, we have installed Tomcat 9.0.76 which is in testing phase and we are hoping it to work fine.
We also need to upgrade the Java version from our current 1.8.0_251.
Can you please check and confirm if Java 1.8.0_371 is compatible and will work fine?
