Collapsible Menu is not working in IE.

in 7.4 version we configured Collapsible Menu in leftside for the portal. Its perfectly working in Chrome but not working in IE. Gone through the below link (https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/left-pane-manager-portal-does-not-expand-or-collapse) and added the code as mentioned in the link . Due to this its breaking in Chrome as well. Please suggest.

This seems like an SR would be appropriate if you are facing the same issue as the SA, and the solution still did not work.
