I have page properties that each refer to a data page.

I am getting warning "Cleared reference, data page for auto populate was not in sync. " in tracer when saving work objects that contain these properties. I have exposed columns on the work table mapped to properties within these page properties. These columns do not get populated. I can see in tracer that there is a point where the page properties are empty. What does the warning mean? I tried checking the box in the data pages to "limit to single page" but that doesn't do the trick. It appears pega is clearing out these page properties and then the work object is getting saved and then page repopulates them but its too late because the save already occurred. I am thinking it has something to do with the warnings. Can someone enlighten me please?
