Clear searched data when switching between tabs on mobile

We are using Pega 8.5.2. When we do global search on My Work & then switch to another tab in mobile & return back to My Work then the previous searched data & criteria are visible. Is there a way we can clear the searched data & also criteria for search.

Search query is remembered in case the user wants to return to the result list or tweak the query. Context can be easily cleared by clicking on the cancel button visible on the right side.
