We are currently running Pega Platform 24.1.2. Since several required hotfixes are no longer available for this version, we are planning to move to the latest patch version, 24.1.4.

We would like clarification on the correct and supported approach for this patch upgrade:

1. For a patch upgrade from 24.1.2 to 24.1.4, do we need to follow the standard platform upgrade procedure?

2. What is the intended use of patch.bat versus upgrade.bat in this scenario?

3. For an in-place upgrade on an on-prem VM deployment, which script should be executed to move from 24.1.2 to 24.1.4?
