I have some questions on "How to" in Chordiant Marketing Director.
1) In our current setup, after the campaign being pushed out (by SMS or email), we will then push the data into our main system so that Customer Service is able able to know what is being offered to the customer via an external manual interface. The main issue is that the external interface can take several hours, or days to populate the data. Thus, we encountered customer which to redeem the offer but we are not able to let them redeem because the data is not ready.
We like to revamp the situation, i.e. we will push the information into our main system before we blast out SMS/email. The pushing of data will still go through the same process as current. After the data population has completed, we will then blast out the SMS/email.
Can we achieve this setup in 1 campaign?
2) Can we generate automatically weekly report of all/some of the campaigns performance in the previous week to a shared folder?

Query1: Could you please provide us the details/screenshot of the data that is being populated(via an external interface) after the SMS/Email being sent?
CMD design is such that the 'content' of SMS/Email to be delivered will be implicitly generated by the SMS/Email Delivery Engine. Therefore, it wouldn't be possible to populate this data before the SMS/Email are blasted(which is part of the campaign execution).
However, if your query is about the data population of output of the campaign (as per the columns, in the extract template) then this could be achieved by using 'File' delivery method(in Delivery Channel) in the SMS/Email campaign. After campaign execution, an output file(with campaign output as per extract template) is generated at the specific location( at the path set for VenvOutputFilePathname parameter in Vantage.init file). This could be done separately for just the data population, as 'file' option if used, delivering SMS/Email may not be possible through SMS/Email delivery engine.
Therefore, to understand better, we wish to know as to what is the data population that is being mentioned in the query.
Query 2: Kindly let us the know the current mode of generating weekly reports that is being used at your end? Please provide related details/ screenshots for the same.
For Query 1, I am thinking of the current work around:
a) Generate the campaign details into a table in database
b) we will have manually push data into the customer database.
c) After (b) has completed (using response model), we will then blast out SMS/Emails.
The main issue is that for Step (b), the duration is not fixed; it can go up to 1-2days if the volume is huge. How can I specify the timing for response model to cater for such a flexible timing?
For Query 2,
Currently, there isn't any, as the user do not know of such a capability after so many changes of hands. I am thinking of standard report, e.g. the campaign start date, how many responded in the first contact, how many responded in the second contact, how many did not respond. If possible, we will like to see who did not respond, so that we are able to do further analysis on them.
Based on my observation in Chordiant marketing Director, it seems that I can only view the report online via the software. Is it possible to let Chordiant generate the report automatically and anyone go to that folder/directory to retreive the report?

Query 1: 'How can I specify the timing for response model to cater for such a flexible timing?'
In the Campaign Builder, to define the response model processing delay, you could use the option 'Time before running the Response Model' in the Response model's 'Timing' tab(please click on the response model).

Query 2: Based on my observation in Chordiant marketing Director, it seems that I can only view the report online via the software. Is it possible to let Chordiant generate the report automatically and anyone go to that folder/directory to retreive the report?
Yes, the only available capability to generate campaign reports is in the online mode. The information for generating reports is fetched from the CAMPAIGN_ANALYSIS view of CMD Schema. We are still checking on this query and will update you on the same at the earliest.
I read through the online help on using the Response Model. It only state what to specify and did not explain what the system will behave.
If my definition for the repsonse model to be as below, am I correct to say that the system will start to track the responses after 1 day of launch, and it will check 3 times? After the 3rd time, which is 1 day and 9 hours (or 6 hours?) after the campaign was launch, it will send out the second treatment? I am not able to trigger off the second treatment earlier than the above timing without human intervention?

We are upgrading to Pega 7.2.2 (or later version) hopefully soon, but it is only restricted to the functions similar to the Chordiant Marketing Director that we are having. Can you give some pointers on where to read on the what are the functionality on the latest software and how can we build up campaign as a head start?
