To check possible ways to isolate the instances running applications in Weblogic
We have a Pega 7.1.8 environment running on Weblogic 10.3.6. OS is Linux. There are 3 applications running on the Pega platform. I would like to know whether there is any way to isolate applications in the sense of accessing.
If there is a chance to isolate the applications, please let me know the procedure.

Hi Surendra,
All the three applications are built-in Pega and all of them share the same DB and accessed via single application context /prweb. So whatever the isolation (like having custom URLs, restricting app users to specific node etc) may not add much value as they all reside in the same DB, but I would like to know about the exact use-case.
The proper isolation in terms of access is already present depending upon the Operator logging in and the AccessGroup mapped to.
Let me know your views.

Isolation I am looking for is to separate the applications that are running on Pega platform. I understand that as the underlying DB is same there won't be any use with isolation of applications.
Could you let me know how we can achieve the restricting app users to specific node on Pega 7.1.8.

Hi Surendra,
There is no functionality available in Pega to route specific access group users to specific nodes.
However, using the same data source you can create a different application context other than prweb on your app server scoped to a specific node(cell) say nodeB and request Application B users only to use the new URL which goes to node B. But we can't enforce Pega to validate if application B users are only using the new URL.
