Changing parameters type in section edit

I noticed that when a Parameters type is selected (and saved) in a Section rule it is impossible to go back and modify the type again; why is that? Is there any way to change the selected type after saving?

(I tried to create a new rule in a patch version but it just stays the same)

PS: I'm actually following the SSA course, excercise named "Parametrizing rules for reuse"

Answering my own question, I just reset the rule from the history tab:

history->view full history-> select an old instance of the rule-> Restore.

 

Still don't get why parameters shouldn't change after saving a rule :(

This seems to be due to technical limitation for modifying the Section XML once the parameter is updated. Hence we can't revert the changes.
