Case Type Runs and Shows Data Page
Hi,
I'd like to create a Case Type which runs and shows Data Page. Is that possible? Please refer to the attach. If possible, could anyone show me an example? The Data Page I created is shown in the post below.

Hi,
I am not clear why do you want to Run the data page explicitly. In Pega 7, whereever a Data Page is referred, PRPC will run it to get result if the page is expired. So, you just need to simply refer the data page in your section as a source of Grid layout.
Pega has provided Load-DataPage step method to load a Data page explicitly.

Hi Swarnendu, thank you for your response. As you say I don't need to do that, I just didn't understand the specification well. So now I'm trying to use Grid to load records, but not sure how. I prepared a Lookup Data Page and List Data Page by creating a new Data Table. Would you please tell me which I should use and how?

While creating Data table, it will creates 2 D-Pages (page and list).List D_Page always refer to Default Report definition. Use it as it is.
Now refer that D_Page in the grid layout source
Then refer the properties getting from D_page

Hi Hemalatha, thank you for the details, but I'm so much confused... (I've got some errors when saving a case type and the application seems broken while I was editing...)
Could you show me the way to create Data Table? I mean, in order to use D_xxxList, Data Table should have records such as 'Perfumes', 'Balaji stores', '50', '10,000'; 'Perfumes', 'Khushnuma...', ... I'd like to display records from external database. (DB connection has been already created in Pega 7.) How should I associate Data Table with external DB?
And I'd like to ask both Hemalatha and Swarnendu...
What do you think is the best way in this issue? I'd just like to... Select records from external DB --> Show it in Pega 7 when a case created.
