Vegam is correct. Only versions of 8.0 and higher support the RDA and RPA features. You will need to automate the Pega 7 system using the traditional interrogation and automation design method for versions of OpenSpan below 8.0.

I am also facing this similar  issue.

• Unable to invoke robotic automation from this screen. The automation service is either unavailable or this system is not authorized to execute automations. You have the option of either quitting or continuing with your work flow.

But i am using pega 7.2.2 and open span 8.0.1016.0

My system requirements are correct.

Pega Configuration:

I have set robotic run time as DSS localruntime.pega.com:9443 

my Access group is having PegaRULES:PegaAPI role but my pega URL is not SSL. It is HTTP.

Studio Configuration:

Runtimeconfig.XML - I have done below settings

1. Added my domain and ipaddress under robotics section.

Do i need to configure any other settings?

Here are a few things that you can do to further your investigation of this issue:

• There is a property in the robotics section of the runtimeconfig.xml, it is called, allowedOrigins. Try setting the value to "*" and see if it works with that value.
• Make sure that the LocalApiService in the Robotics section is enabled to true.
• Make sure there are no typos that you entering into the RuntimeConfig.xml
• Make sure you are using the Robotic activity and not the regular activity.
• Confirm that Runtime is running on the machine either Studio Debugger or Standalone Runtime will work.
• Make sure you have the PegaAPI access Role.
• Try re-installing Studio/Runtime to see if that resolves the issue.
