Can pxAddressMap (or similar) be used or configured to NOT use/depend on Google Map?
In looking at the pxAddressMap (Pega 7.1.8), there is a strong dependency on it's functionality / behaviour with integration with Google Maps.
Can it be modified to NOT use Google Map but rather another REST based mapping service (say built upon open source and/or other products)? (Is there a different option to use instead of pxAddressMap?)
(I know Google Maps is the best but I don't need it's richness and the requirements are being met by a REST service based on open source)

So far google api has been integrated and tested to support the address map feature, I am not sure if there is any other way, however you can trying use action sets to handle events which can call an activity to invoke your REST API.

@baigh. thanks for the response. The invocation of REST API seems reasonable. In terms of display of images (aka map), would the pxAddressMap still be usable or is there something better to use? Does Pega validate the Google Key ? or is it anticipated that the service provider (in this case, Google Maps) would validate the received "key"?

I am not sure if 'pxAddressMap' is capable for further modifications, you might have to check for customizing your own control and call the REST api whichever you want.
