Can the field value display formatted text?
I was going over the field values in deveoper help but could not get field values in formatted text like bold, italics? Is there a way?

You can simply use Label style Strong check the attachment. you can override the style as per your requirement aswell

Hi,
We can specify formatted text like bold, italics in cell property.
1.Go to the cell property click on presentaion tab.
2.Go to the advance presentation option and in "cell inline style" click on the setting option.
3.Here you will get the option to set the formatted text.
You can also set the formatted text in Skin file but it will applied for all the control .

If you want to part of field value to be bold or italic and color etc., go for Paragraph rule localization process which provides Rich Text Editor (RTE) featuring all formatting options

How to display the text in red?
Scenario: I have a text input field, and have a property attached to it. I want to display the value of the property in red.

You an do that by changing the font color in the corresponding format used for text input at Skin level.

Hi.. Can you try using tags in the field value <b>test bold</b>. or<i>test italic </i>. Please mention like this in the field value only. It works.
It is not a Pega best practice . Please create a mixin and just refer it. You have various option in this.
