Can embedded properties be retireved via a list view rule? Using v6.3.
If so how can this be done
I need to retrieve and verify these properties for certain criterias and then only display the rows.
A list view rule is being used for this..

For a list view, if the content tab refers to a property that is unexposed, then the whole blob for that record is loaded. Refer - https://docs-previous.pega.com/comparison-report-definition-list-view-and-summary-view-rules. Note that this can be achieved with report definitions also if UDFs are available. With UDFs, you can even filter on un-optimized properties. Performance will be hit in both scenarios.
It is suggested to use a Declare Index for un-optimized embedded properties to be optimized for reporting.

I have tried referencing the unoptimised property but the whole blob for that record is not loaded. Is there anything else that needs to be done for the entire blob to be loaded.
I basically need a pagelist property to be retrieved but currently I am able to include the property in the content tab only be referencing the page in which it is present.
I found the following on PDN:
References must be to scalar values: provide an index or page name for each Page List or Page Group in the property reference. For example, to reference the product number for the first line item on a purchase order, you might enter LineItems(1).ProductSKU.
Can this be overcome somehow?

I was referring to adding a top level scalar property, which is un-optimized, in the content tab. You can check the query on the output clipboard page to see if pzPVStream is retrieved or not.
