Can a Connect Rest work without giving authentication profile?

We have Connect REST(POST Method) and I can see the Use authentication Profile radio button is selected however we are not using any authentication profile ,instead we are passing certain details inside the header:

Pls refer the screenshot attached.

So is it possible that the connector will work without any authentication profile?
