Can BIX update the same record instead of inserting a new one ?

Hi,

There are some issues with BIX extraction in our application.

In case Pega inserts a new record then it is inserting more than one records for multiple assignments or in some cases multiple records are inserted even for a single update on the case.

So I wanted to know if there is a way to update the same record in the BIX table ?

I'm not sure if this answers your question, but BIX is an extraction tool and will always INSERT. It is the "Extract" component of an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) sequence. 

The consumer of the records Extract'ed by BIX must determine how to Load each Extract'ed record into the destination system. For example, if the 'key' of the extracted record matches the 'key' of a record in the target table, the Load process might choose to UPDATE the record.
