Calculate length of property value? Which function

Hi,

i want to calculate the length of a property value.

i mean single value property. as i need to write custom error message when user enter more than 10 digits phone number. which function i use to check length of a single value property.

i know we use length of pagelist for pagelist properties...what about single property??

Please check pyCheckLength and pyMinimumLength-Enforce edit validate rules may help in this scenario. Need to write a new edit validate rule else call edit validate rule from validate rule.
