The Automation created on the older Windows and Office versions
Hi. Can we use the Automation, which has been created on Windows 7 with Office 2013, in the environment of Windows 10 with Office 2016?
One of our customers tried it, but they claim that these Automations cannot be executed on Windows 10 with Office 2016.
They tried the following things, but the problem has not been resolved yet:
1. Uninstalling Pega Robotics Studio, and re-installing it with choosing Office 2016
2. Uninstalling Pega Robotics Studio, deleting the OpenSpan-related keys in HPEY_CURRENT_USER, and re-installing it with choosing Office 2016
Any thoughts?

Thank you for your note. The customer got back to us, with saying that the problem has been resolved.
The root cause of this issue was that the RuntimeConfig.xml and StudioConfig.xml in %AppData%\Roaming\OpenSpan had not been removed after upgrading the envitonment, and they contained the value "2013" in "OfficeVersion". After updating these values to "2016", and replacing Office-related DLLs under the installation folder with 2016 ones, the problem has disappeared.

Environment differences can cause different behaviors in the applications. You should always develop your solutions on the same operating system and same applications as your end users. Perhaps you can provide an example of what you are doing that isn't working and we might be able to come up with an explanation.
