Auto Complete suggestions not working when text is pasted

When i Paste a text in an autocomplete, the suggestions box is not displayed. Is there any fix for this issue?

I am using Pega 7.3.1.

Hello,

No it is not working, if the autocomplete previously had the focus it will work, but if not it won't work.

Hello,

Before pasting the text into the autocomplete, empty the autocomplete, click anywhere to remove the focus then reclick on the autocomplete and paste the text, it won't show the suggestions.

Yes, it is a valid values.

When pressing down after inserting the text, the suggestion box appear.

Hi,

I have checked your statement and it is correct. My observation:

The autocomplete works for the key events in Pega ,for mouse click it will just focus so  if you are trying to paste the word using keyboard i.e CTRL+V , the keyup event will trigger and it will give you results but if you are using the paste using mouse then it will not populate the results.

Hope it expilans why the behaviour is so.

Hi sahuv1,

Even the CTRL+V is not showing the suggestion box the first time used on the autocomplete.

Do you have any suggestion for fixing the CTRL+V issue?

Please select the checkbox match start of string in autocomplete configuration. That should help.

Please try checking the Match Start of String checkbox. Please find the screen attached.

I tried this and it worked for me. when i do Ctrl+V. But it is not working when we do mouse right click and paste.

Hello,

Please find attached a recording for the issue.

First i clicked outside the autocomplete in order to remove the focus then pressed on it and Paste the text using CTRL+V, no suggestion shown. then immediately selected all the text and reused CTRL+V it worked.
