Audit and Search on Temporary Object/instance – Feasibility Check or optimal solution
Hi All,
Temporary work object is created to capture the data with the status ‘New’. After submit, work object/instance is created.
Since the work object instance are not captured in Database, the search based on new status and audit will not be working. Just wanted to check, Is there any other options to capture the details in Audit display and Search based on Temporary Work object.
Any suggestions?
Option 1 – Planning to disable/hide Audit tab for temporary work object (i.e. initial screen) and no status will be displayed

Hi,
For a temporary work object, Audit tab is made blank by setting a condition in pyCaseAudit section. If you remove the condition you can see the titles with no items. In pyCaseHistoryContent section using D_pyWorkHistory datapage Audit data is being fetched from the history table. As the data will not be available for temporary work object in history table you will not see the items. In order to see the data you must save the data to DB.
Using "Persist" smart shape you can make the temporary work object as permanent, then you can see the items in audit.

Thank you Varma. Ideally way to continue with temporary work object scenario/logic. Ignoring the save, attach and audit options for temporary cases.
