Assistance on "Sending an email with attachments"
After attaching files to a case, I would like to send these attachments within an e-mail (through a Send Email smart shape) to a work party.
I have come across: “Sending an email with attachments”, however it’s not fully clear how to implement this.
So far: The activity is called (as pointed out in step 2). However, as a test, what value should be set for smtpHost parameter?
To make matters a little easier, could one provide an example?

I clicked "action > references" and can see one place that activity is called from. The parameter you are asking about I believe is the name of the node you use for your out-going mail servicing. /Eric

In Designer Studio, click on "Records" then "Integration Resources" then "Email Account: then do a descending sort on "UPDATED ON".
Do you have entries that correspond to work pool class names?
When you run the New Application wizard these records should be created for you.
It is up to you to modify them later.
If you are sending an email from a case, the Email Account should default to the work pool's Email Account.
You are free to create specialized Email Accounts as well.

Thanks a lot for your response, by which you have provided a better understanding of/approach towards the issue.
However, a question remains: What should be undertaken for an email message to actually land in the inbox of the receiver?
Here is what I have tried so far:
- I have configured an Email Account with Sender and Receiver (Outlook in Office 365). Test connectivity results in Success for all steps performed. Now, by using a Send Email smart shape (Categories: File), I try to send an email to a work party (for which the Email Account was configured). In the Process Work workspace, the email is visible including a link to the attachment and the attachment can be opened. So far, so good.. However, in the email (opened in Process Work workspace) I read: “Sent: (Not yet sent)”.
- I have called some of the OOTB SendXXXX activities. Even tried the SendSimpleEmail activity just to get the email actually delivered to the receiver. These activities are added to a certain flow action (in the post-processing section under the Action tab).
With both approaches, no emails were actually delivered.
