when a column in a table is marked as read-only, Pega applies the gray background and extra padding by default to indicate the non-editable state. If you want to change this, you can override the styling using a custom skin rule or by applying a custom view template. You can target the specific table column class in your theme’s CSS and remove the background color or adjust the padding. For example, you can override the readonly cell class to set background as white and reduce the padding to your preferred size. Make sure to test it in both editable and read-only views so that it doesn’t break the accessibility or consistency of the design system. The general recommendation is to align with the Constellation design standards, but if your requirement is strict, custom CSS override at the theme or application level is the way to do it.
