Application Data Encryption in Pega Cloud

We have two queries:

  1. When we refer a key from AWS, then how often the key is fetched from Pega. Is it fetched once or continously? How frequently the key is fetched?
  2. Can encryption of BLOB  and many exposed columns create any performance issue in the application? Any links to any recommendations from Pega side?
