API to look at settings?

All,

as part of a post deployment process we want to validate settings (such as pooling for service packages and dss entries) are there apis to query this data or should we look at using a browser automation for this feature

What Pega version are you using? I see some APIs for 8.1 related to configuration settings and requestor pools. You should be able to see the APIs for your version by clicking on the Resources link in Designer Studio and selecting Pega API.
