Is any OOTB class to do MD5 encryption of sting

I have a random generated sting and need to encrypt it.

Is there any function for sting to MD5 encryption.

We have a function "encryptPW" which is used to encrypt passwords. I think we can use this for encrypting string.

Hello,

I have used encryptPW but it's not working as expected.

For example.

String - abc123

Expected MD5 encryption output - e99a18c428cb38d5f260853678922e03

Pega encryptPW output = {pr}Ee6rEiPBkqbBtFqcaNXcJ5HEbgk9wd2K82H/sEf4EKg=
