The API key that we need to specify in the application rule works only when we append a few characters at the end. Could you please explain why it doesn't work with the API key straightforward. I have raised SR-C53017 for this issue but I have been redirected to post the same in this thread.

The api key you should provide in the 'Setup integration details' modal should be copied from the agile central portals application manager.
See this https://help.rallydev.com/rally-application-manager on generating api key for your application.
Usually api key starts with underscore and some characters after that.

I have the same problem. I have copied the api definition from the Agile Studio REST service definition and pasted into the field in the modal popup (!). It simply comes back with the error message "Enter a valid Agile Studio URL".

Is the API key copied from Agile Studio REST service definition or from the Rally/CA Agile Central portals as described in the above thread. Also, make sure the Agile Central/Rally User ID is set correctly under operator preferences and auth profile is set with the correct password.
