Agent activity is failing, not able to trace.

I have configured an activity in the Agent with mode as Advanced and set to bypass authentication. But the activity is failing with the exception -

Exception at 20161116T073209.335 GMT: com.pega.pegarules.pub.runtime.IndeterminateConditionalException: The reference .pxMarkedForSuspension==true is not valid. Reason: FUAInstance-NullMyStepPage at com.pega.pegarules.priv.FUAUtil.activityPreTranIndeterminateConditionalCheck(FUAUtil.java:442) at com.pegarules.generated.activity.ra_action.

(Attached is the entire exception.)

Not sure why .pxMarkedForSuspension is being called here. And Trace is leading to exception - Execution denied for class: RedirectAndRun&ThreadName=Tracer&Location=pyActivity=Data-TRACERSettings (activity: TracerOptionsAvailable&ConnectionID=B88A4064B7BB41A6941FE772107A4405D). So couldnt figure out where is this error is occuring.

Note: Agent is set with proper Access Group and ruleset.

.pxMarkedForSuspension==true leads to error here

This property is set by the OnChange activity which suspends a work object.

Can you trace the agent being run ?

I followed these steps for tracing the agent. When I click on Trace after delaying, it leads to System Administrator error. Checking the logs i find  - 

 Execution denied for class: RedirectAndRun&ThreadName=Tracer&Location=pyActivity=Data-TRACERSettings (activity: TracerOptionsAvailable&ConnectionID=BF228F8B8C880C04DC70D0034A936278F)

Could you please tell me what I need to fix in the tracer settings?

Hi

What your activity is supposed to do ? 

Can you modify the activity and have only a single step ( Log-Message ) and see whether the agent is able to successfully fire the activity or not.

If this test is successful then it is sure that there is some issue with the logic of the activity.

Otherwise we need to focus more on why the agent is failing to run the activity

Hi All,

Thanks for your suggestion. The root cause has been found - the commit with error handling step in the activity was improper. When that was corrected, the agent is successfully processing the activity.
