After effects of increasing max thread count value in server.xml file (TOMCAT)
Hi Team,
Could you please suggest the after-effects (memory consumption etc.,) of increasing max thread count value in Tomcat server.xml file (Current value : 150 and increasing the value to 250).
Please also suggest the other corresponding parameters to be increased in the Server.xml along with the max thread count value.

Hi Pradeep,
If you are planning to increase the thread count, before that please have a good understanding of the following:
1. Capacity planning, - Monitor your system by doing load testing on your system and see if 150 threads are actually not able to process your load on the systems.
2. Thread congestions could be because of not having proper garbage collection process.
3. If the connections with the external systems are poor.
4. improper connections pooling with DB or Loggers.
5. Network latency problems.
Do a complete analysis of your system and then based on the business needs increase the capacity of your server.
