Adding Large Datapages to WhiteList [ Datapages either reference in UI not referenced in UI]
I need clarification regarding adding Large DataPage to whitelist
As per Pega Documentation
After you create the data page, declare it as a large data page.
To do this, edit the whitelist for the List of data pages that are available offline but are not referenced directly in the UI.
Add the name of the data page followed by ;large. For example, to declare the data page D_FieldMappings as large, enter D_FieldMappings;large in the HTML source. Add additional large data pages on separate lines.
So my question is adding large DataPages but referenced in UI in white list won't help to improve Performance? even though is datapage referenced in UI also added in to whitelist- still synchronization required- synchronization takes place?[since added to whitelist]
My question is Performance would improve or not.

Again I looked documentation Mobile course chaper Enabling Offline Processing In a Mobile App says
By Default , the offline mobile app includes in any synchronization the data transforms, datapages , field values, validate rules used in the UI. So we no need to add explicitly in WhiteList .
Then when we need to add Large Datapages in the white list - when ever we have datapage which is not refered in a UI only those need to add in WhiteList, is very clear.
In general if ask - Add Large Datapages to WhiteList - is wrong , it should be Add Large Datapages which is not referenced in UI to white list .
So somebody from Pega can you clarify please.

The only way to declare a data page as large is through the white list. There is no way, as far as I know, to declare a data page as large on the data page rule form. Therefore, regardless of whether the data page is declared in a UI rule or not, it must be entered into the white list if you are going to declare it as a large data page as this is the only mechanism available for declaring a large data page.

Wording is important
Declare as large Data Page different
By Default Mobile App add Large DataPage if refered in UI adds to the whitelist
Large DataPage not refered in UI need to be added to whitelist manually.

I understand your confusion. I suggest reaching out the Pega Academy and informing them of the apparent contradictory wording so that it can be clarified.
