   Access group:

•   Place where we have link between for an application and a user.
•   Place where have application selection and list of access (role-based access) and list of portals.
•   Work pool selection

   Application: 

• Place where we have selection of framework applications and list of rulesets for that application.
• skin rule mapping, frameworks mapping

Application is the place where the actual business logic will be there.

Access group is the place where how and where we can access that Application business logic.
