How to change stage back to Initialization Stage
Hello,
Beginning with Pega 8.5, Pega has brought in this Initialization Stage concept.
- 8.4 Case Type rule
- 8.5 Case Type rule
I just realized I can't do Change Stage back to the Initialization Stage. It seems that we can only go back to any stages after Initialization Stage (see dropdown in Change Stage shape in 8.5+ below).
I have found some similar Q/A posts on Pega Community but I couldn't find an official source why Pegasystems made such specifications. I think this is inconvenient. Can someone please point to a documentation as to:

- I tried to create a stub flow in Initialization Stage (place only start shape and end shape) but the stage name still appears on end user UI. What would be the easiest approach to completely remove Initialization Stage name from UI?
I think whether having Initialization Stage or not should be managed by developers, rather than a product. Forcing this concept gets in the way of flexible development.

I read this article but it doesn't give answers to my quesions above. I wanted to know alternatives or workaround. My approach not to utilize Initialization Stage leaves the label on UI and doesn't look good. Basically I believe whether an application should have this multi-form steps or not should be determined by developers, and configurable on project basis.

Before Initialization Stage, we will have scenario to collect some information from user's and we will do that by using New Harness and all. Maintaining New harness logic, validation will be too complex to overcome that Pega bought Initialization Stage.
Maintaining the business logic by using case management Stages, Process, steps will be more user friendly, and maintainability will be too easy.
The main point which we need to consider when placing some process in Initialization Stage, there will be no scenario to come back to Initialization Stage once it was completed. Placing the process in Initialization Stage is not mandatory if you don't want to place any logic there then you can skip that.
The main scope of Initialization Stage is to collect information which will be needed to process the case.

I think it makes sense that the flow could go back to the initial stage where end user collected information by multi-step form - why not.
Anyways, my original question was if there is no way to remove Initialization Stage as product limitation, I wanted to at least skip it, but the label is still staying on end user UI, which doesn't look good. Tweaking the clipboard for this is complex and I wanted to know if there is any easier approach to get rid of it.
1. Remove process from Create stage
2. Process starts from Stage 2 but Create stage still appears on UI.
