Hosting elastic search in openshift

Dear Community 

I am looking for the guiding principles in configuring elastic search.My application is hosted in Openshift platform. Underneath platform is Pega 8.7.1 on tomcat. At the moment we are using pega web ready docker image. The same image is being used to spin off web, stream, search, batch, background nodes in the host cluster. Rule search works fine with this configuration.

Questions

1. Can we use the same setup for case/ data search

2. Should we rather use Pega ES docker image and configure pods for the  same

3. Any insight on pega SRS in this context 

My application is hosted in client managed internal cloud platform
