Integrate Pega Deployment Manager with JIRA User story

Hi , As per the requirement we need to integrate the PegaDM with Jira user story of our application. There are no pre defined OOTB tasks available in the Pega DM though we are using the PegaDevOpsFounddation 5.5v. I can see there is only a custom task to be built. Please suggest how to proceed on this.
