How to configure Timeout for Service-Rest in Pega 8.3
Hi All,
We have requirement to update Service-Rest timeout to 10 sec.
Configuration
Set Enable service SLA with fallback activity to true
Maximum duration for service activity (milliseconds) to 5000
Maximum consecutive violations to 1
Retry interval (seconds) to 10
In service activity called Wait method with 20 sec and in the fallback activity added a page-set-message and added an error.
Even though timeout exceeded, my fallback activity is not getting triggered. Kindly help me achieve this requirement

I have similar requirement and i tried fallback activity.
I think fallback activity is triggered during the retry interval only and default fallback activity is triggered without going to service activity.
If this is right order of execution, this feature should be updated to trigger fallback activityafter specified timeout during every execution.

Maximum consecutive violations to 1
Retry interval (seconds) to 10 Explanation:
- Maximum duration for service activity (milliseconds) to 5000 --> 5 Seconds
- Maximum consecutive violations = 1 --> Means within 5 Sec if there is consecutive 1 violation, means ERROR to happen twice within 5 sec.
- check weather ur are able to hit the service with ERROR more than 2 time to replicate it ?
If you are having this setting "service activity called Wait method with 20 sec" the above config would not satisfied i hope so.

- Maximum duration for service activity (milliseconds) - The maximum time for a service activity to run. If a service exceeds the specified value, it logs a Service Level Agreement violation alert. The default value for this setting is 500.
- Maximum consecutive violations - The maximum number of consecutive Service Level Agreement violations for the Container service. If the number is exceeded, the interval service returns the default set of actions for the Container service for a length of time defined in the Retry interval (Seconds) setting. The default value for this setting is 3.
- Retry interval (seconds) - The time during which the interval service returns the default set of actions for the Container service. After the retry interval ends, the interval service tries to invoke the actual service activity. The default value for this setting is 10.
