Savable Data Pages

What are the downsides of using Savable Data Pages. When is using Savable data pages not a good idea?

Sevable Data Page saves the information even when there is no change in the data. Developer needs to be careful to minimize db hits.

Also, If Save data page is executed and data page instance is not present in the clipboard, it freshly loads the datapage instance and perform save.
