Starting a skin from a custom set of CSS files

I have heard individuals speak of this but have no concrete example to work from/with.
I am building a Pega application. A CSS guru has created multiple CSS' for me to use and save me from having to build/modify the Pega skin structures. It's not that I don't want to do the work in Pega skin configurations but this CSS guru can make changes faster than me. So, I want to leverage that.
So,
1. How can I make this CSS list the parent skin within Pega?
2. If I have to use a Pega skin as a parent skin and then use my application skin with the CSS' as included styles, what is the most minimal OOTB Pega skin to use to minimize the deletion/override of the OOTB styles ?
3. As I am still learning Pega Skins/CSS, are there any other options that I am not aware of to solve this problem?
In all of these options, I want to be able to select the style(s) for the CSS' definitions within the UI control presentation tab; for ex. Instead of selecting strong, we may want to select primary (as primary is defined within the custom CSS')

thank you so much for the answer. Reading the linked post does help/confirm how I could leverage the CSS guru's files but the one thing I am still missing is what are my next steps to leverage it within, say, a UI Section where I want those styles to take place. Within the presentation layer of a button, dynamic layout, etc.. It seems putting the temporary CSS style into the UserWorkForm results in immediate effect in the Dev Studio without changing anything. But doesn't seem to affect the runtime portal (even though I still have the same UserWorkForm configured). Is that because of the parent/child skin hierarchy or is there something else I am missing?

You can create a new skin for your application and inherit with pyEndUser skin and include CSS files in Additional stylesheets of newly created skin.

thank you so much for your answer. I guess being more naive with Pega/CSS than I thought, After I define the additional stylesheet, how can I reference any defined class (in that added CSS) to a UI Section/button/etc, or do I need to first define something (not sure what though, that's where I am lost...) in the Pega Skin to leverage it?

We can use it on the Presentation tab of cell properties in Cell read-write classes and Cell read-only classes.
